A story told on stage becomes a play.
Weeping and laughing, anger and fear, joy and sadness.
And when the light fades, only peace.

Barber Stories Theatre Play

First some practicalities..

The improv theatre play is optional and budget wise not included in the basic setup.
Not all festivals will have the opportunity to organise this, although a tent or pub can do.
Therefore, as an organizer: feel free to add or not this part.
Prices: please check page on the site or mail.

The organizer of the event has taken care of:
-sheltered location
-seating for the audience (no standing audience will be played for)
-sound system, if the audience expected is over 40 people
-stage no smaller than 2X2 m
-ambient light
-food and beverage (see page on this site or mail)
-the play will take 60 up to 90 minutes, no break.

All stories collected throughout the day will now serve as inspiration for the improv theatre show.
The clients who provided me a good story will have a seat in the front row.
If an entrance fee is asked by the organizer, note that free tickets for those who inspired my show will receive free entrance tickets  after their haircut or shave.

If a piano is available and a person in the audience is capable of improvising on the instrument, she-he will gladly be welcomed to support the show. If other  musicians, accompanied by their instrument, are present, they could obviously also participate.
The theatre play is completely improvised, not to speak the inspiration delivered by the barber clients who passed during the day, whose stories will be adapted and told as if I, as an actor,  experienced them myself.
so I will interpret the stories told by the clients  as if they were my own. I will add my personal touch, words, mood makers to create a unique in-the-moment experience.
I will  will do my utmost to invest  my 35 years of experience as improv actor, story teller, writer.

Important remark:
The play is not necessarily 'funny'. Humorous anecdotes or quotes can/will be part of the play, though, it might be the play is intimate, sober, touching the heart.
